Established in 1918, the Denver Art Museum is home to an extensive permanent collection containing a wide range of historic, ancient, modern, and contemporary art and also features a variety of special exhibitions, classes and art related community events throughout the year. Located in the heart of downtown Denver, this family friendly museum is popular with local residents and visitors alike.

Denver Art Museum’s New Wing

Opened in 2006, the new wing at the Denver Art Museum features a large collection of contemporary art. Designed by architect, Daniel Libeskind, the new wing’s unusual design and ultra modern styling is a stark contrast to the older portion of the museum and draws a wide array of opinions from critics and visitors alike.
