Six Flags Elitch Gardens - Denver's biggest theme park has 48 rides including Twister II, a giant wood roller coaster. At Disaster Canyon, you ride through river rapids in a giant rubber tire. Some other great rides: Sidewinder, Sky flyer, Avalanche, Tortoise, and Big Wheel. There is a Kiddieland area, an observation tower, shows and much, much more. 

Prehistoric Journey - Travel back in time 3.5 billion years to the first life forms on earth - which lived under water. Then climb up on land to walk down a jungle path through history, visiting dinosaurs and various other beasts that once roamed Colorado.  Prehistoric Journey is just one exhibit at the huge Denver Museum of Natural History. The Hall of Life has interactive games to learn about the human body. There's also an IMAX movie theatre with a screen that is as big as a building. 

Lakeside Amusement Park - Located in northwest Denver, this family  amusement park offers unlimited rides on over 40 attractions ranging from the classic Cyclone Roller Coaster to a scenic miniature train. Fun for the entire family with 15 children's rides, games and refreshments. 

Tiny Town - Created in 1915, Tiny Town is just like a real village -  only kid-sized. All the buildings are one-sixth actual size. The turn-of-the-century downtown features a fire station, toy store, ice cream shop, movie theatre, gas station and more. Children can actually enter some of the  buildings. An operating tiny train pulled by a working miniature steam locomotive circles the entire village. Located in a beautiful mountain location only a few minutes from Denver.

Heritage Square - A re-created Colorado town from the 1870's, the "Old West" amusement park has free admission with 35 specialty shops, restaurants and amusement rides. Home of the Music Hall with mello-drama dinner theatre and the Lazy H Chuck-wagon Dinner and Western Show. Alpine slide, water slide, bungee tower, children's rides and more.

Water World - America's largest family water park has 40 attractions  on 64 beautifully landscaped acres. Includes two ocean-like wave pools, twisting  water slides, whitewater raft adventures, the Screamin' Mimi, Calypso Cove, Lost River of the Pharaohs, FunH2Ouse and the internationally acclaimed "Voyage to the Center of the Earth."
