Now that it's finally getting warmer outside, it's time to stretch those legs and get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery and incredible hiking that Colorado has to offer! In fact, did you know that you'll be able to find an incredible array of hiking and outdoors options just 30 minutes from the city? That's just one of the many reasons why we here at the Holiday Inn love Denver so much - you are never far from the wondrous beauty of nature when you just need to get out of the city! Here are 3 fantastic hiking options that you can get to in no time.
1) Trading Post Trail at Red Rocks Park
Just because it's not quite summer yet and the concerts haven't started doesn't mean that you can't enjoy the beautiful scenery of Red Rocks! This short loop hike will take you past 10 of the park's astonishing red rock formations. It's only about an hour's hike, and leashed dogs are allowed on the trail!
2) North Table Mountain
North Table is just a 25-minute drive from Denver and overlooks the town of Golden, Colorado. The incredible scenic views make it a go-to spot not just for hikers and mountain bikers, but photographers as well! And spring is the best time to go because you'll catch all the beautiful wildflowers bloom!
3) Mt. Galbraith Loop via the Cedar Gulch Trail
This is another relatively moderate trail, accessible for all types of hikers, and a great place to catch the sunrise with the hummingbirds that often inhabit this beautiful and scenic trail.
You're never going to be remiss for hiking, scenery, and outdoor activity in Denver! We hope you bring us back some great pictures to show off!
