Already looking forward to the weekend? Us too! It's a short week, but Friday can't come soon enough! Here at the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek, we're looking ahead to all the great events and happenings in Denver this weekend. No matter what you're looking to do, you'll find there's something for everyone. Choose from art festivals, car shows & auctions, and even a beer run!
If you want to add a dose of culture to your weekend, check out the 30th Annual Colorado Black Arts Festival in City Park from Friday to Sunday. Celebrate local, regional, and national African American artists through all different mediums. There will be a number of visual artists' work on display as well as live musical performances of jazz, blues, soul, African drum and dance, and much more.
For all you gear-heads out there, the Mecum Denver 2016 Auction is happening at the Colorado Convention Center. There will be over 700 classic, collector, and vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles on display. It's one of the largest automotive collector auctions in the country, and is a great time even for those not looking to bid on anything!
Start the fun early on Saturday over at Grandma's House Brewery with their annual Beer Run! Participants walk, run, jog, and drink beer in this non-competitive fun run for charity. Portions of the proceeds go to numerous non-profits that give back to the community. It's a fun, laid-back way to get a bit of exercise and enjoy some delicious beer for a good cause!
Sounds like a pretty good weekend to look forward to, right? Join the countdown with us here at the Holiday Inn and get ready for some fun!
