Did you know the Unsinkable Molly (Margaret) Brown lived in Denver, in the historic Five Points Neighborhood, just a few minutes from the Holiday Inn at Cherry Creek! Her historic home, built in 1889 is now an educational museum. Visitors can learn about her life, as well as interesting historical facts about the fated voyage of the HMS Titantic. After visiting the Molly Brown House Museum, explore the rest of her neighborhood with a walking tour. Explore some of the sites which the Brown family helped erect or watched rise up on the skyline.
Another stellar attraction in Five Points is The Black American West museum. Although it was originally founded to tell the story of "Black Cowboys", the museum has widened its scope and tells the "stories" of those early African Americans who came west and performed as miners, soldiers, homesteader, ranchers, blacksmiths, schoolteachers, lawmen and every other professions needed to build up the West. This is an acclaimed museum, the likes of which can only be found in Denver!
Five Points, like Denver itself, offers much diverse diversion. Our famed Spangaling Brewery is just down the road. Recently they have begun offering "Breathe, Bend & Brew", an all-levels yoga session/happy hour taking place in the tap-room every Saturday from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Admission is 15 dollars, which includes a class and a refresher beer! After class all students are invited to stay for a meet and greet happy hour event. The Denver Holiday Inn at Cherry Creek's central location and elegant accommodations make it the perfect place to experience, enjoy, and relax in Denver!
