A Day of Fun and Education at the Denver Zoo

Want to bring the kids out to make some new friends in Denver? Head down to the Denver Zoo! One of the best zoos in the United States, the Denver Zoo is the perfect place to bring the whole family. If you like to go in with a plan, the zoo offers six different itineraries to make sure you get the most out of your visit and can focus more on the animals than the map! The Zoo is just minutes from the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek - an easy straight shot north along Colorado Boulevard for a few miles.

Once you arrive, we suggest first hitting the Toyota Elephant Passage. It's a sprawling ten-acre landscape that's home to the most majestic of mammals - the Asian elephants, rhinoceroses, clouded leopards are just a few of the residents hanging out here. Speaking of hanging, you'll also find monkeys doing literally just that!

One of the things that make this zoo so unique is their commitment to the education of our children. For your convenience, they offer an array of pre-planned itineraries, because they understand that kids learn through experiencing and exploring, and encourage this at the zoo. These itineraries contain scavenger hunt instructions and questions that will enhance any child's experience. Click here for more information on these fun itineraries.

At the end of the day, the Denver Zoo is sure to impress all of its visitors, young and old. It doesn't matter your age here; it's all about learning and having fun while doing it. Enjoy the day, grab a souvenir from the gift shop, and head back to the Holiday Inn to let the kids show us what they found!
