Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships In Vail Colorado
There's no business like snowboard business and by the looks of things, it's doing one heck of a business. You can get an up-close-and-personal look at the cream of the crop in snowboarders from around the world when they descend upon Vail, Colorado from March 3, 2014 to March 8, 2014 for the Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships. This is the longest-running event of its kind and it's considered to be the top-of-the-line. Presented by MINI, the Championships will highlight half-pipe and slope-style snowboarders who will undoubtedly be fired up to strut their stuff en route to coming away with first-place finishes. Along with the rigorous competitions over the six-day period, there will be concerts, product demos, and lots of action in the upscale village of Vail.

Of course, not every athlete makes it to the Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships. To get there, they must survive the grueling qualifiers that take place from January 31, 2014 to February 2, 2014 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. To get an invitation to compete in Vail in March, you have to be among the top six men and three women in both half-pipe and slope-style. A Junior Category has been added this year for a limited number of snowboarders who are aged 13 and under. Spectators not able to make it to the Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships in person will be able to watch the live webcast beginning March 5.
