Denver is home to over 2 million people with backgrounds and cultural origins spanning from all across the globe. Finally, there is a new celebration that aims to represent the extremely rich and culturally diverse demographic of the Mile High City! This Saturday is the first ever annual Denver International Festival. Held all day long at the Civic Center Park, just a quick drive from us here at the Cherry Creek Holiday Inn, this inaugural festival is sure to be a great time for everyone involved!
This free community event starts off at 10 a.m. and will feature over 30 restaurants, food trucks, breweries and beer gardens so you can really taste the diverse makeup of Denver. From the savory smells of Asian dishes to the red-hot spice of Latin American cuisine and everything in between, you'll wish you had enough room to try everything!
The event will also feature a wealth of live music as well as art from all over the world. Get down with some reggae jams, or break out your salsa moves to some live Latin music! Or, just hang out as a spectator as the Oromo African Dance Group performs their impressive choreographed moves brought over from Ethiopia.
This event is also 100% family friendly! There is an entire Kids Village for your children to let loose in and learn a lot along the way. They can uncover ancient artifacts in an archaeological dig, or just go nuts in a bounce house!
Here at the Holiday Inn, we have a lot of pride in the diverse makeup of our city. You won't want to miss the first of what is sure to become one of the more significant and favorite festivals of Denver!
