2013 Cherry Creek Sneak - Denver 10-Mile, 5-Mile, & 5K Run
When - Sunday, April 28th
Start/Finish - Cherry Creek Shopping Center
Founded in 1982, the Cherry Creek Sneak is a Denver tradition. Of the many annual running events in the city, it’s one of the largest, drawing over 10,000 walkers and runners every year. While the Volkswagen 10-mile course is the longest, the 2013 Cherry Creek Sneak features several fun runs, including 5-mile, 3.1-mile (5k), and 1.5-mile courses. Children ages 8 and under can join in the fun on the 1/2-mile Kids’ Fun Run, while there’s even a Diaper Dash for toddlers in the Kids’ Fun Zone.
The Post - Race Block Party
After the race, runners get to celebrate with a free beer at the Leinenkugel Beer Garden (ages 21 and over) in the post-race block party on 1st Avenue, between Steele and Monroe Streets. In addition to beer and free vendor samples, there will be live music, a giant slide, costume contest, and inflatable obstacle course.
Walk or Run Against Hunger
Registration fees for the Cherry Creek Sneak benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies, providing food and supplies to over 1,000 hunger-relief programs in Colorado and Wyoming, and helping to feed 88,000 people each day.
